Fire-rated shutters, Cradley Heath
Fire-rated shutters in Cradley Heath start from about £3,200 plus VAT for a standard opening, with a free survey and a written quotation before anything is ordered.
For Cradley Heath shops and offices, a surveyor measures the unit before anything is priced and the fire-rated shutters are then made to those dimensions.
Permission and Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council
The local planning authority for Cradley Heath is Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council. Replacing an existing frontage in the same style seldom needs permission, but a changed appearance, an external shutter or an illuminated sign usually does. The survey confirms which rules apply.
How much?
Budget from £3,200 plus VAT as a starting point. Your quote depends on the opening size, the finish and how easy access is. The written quotation is valid for 90 days.
Timescales
Expect 4-6 weeks after survey for manufacture. Installation in Cradley Heath is usually a day or two once everything is made. Early starts and closed-day fitting are both possible.
What gets fitted
A fire shutter holds a compartment line for its rated period and closes automatically when the alarm panel signals. Common specifications: fail-safe release options; annual servicing recommended.
