Planning rules in Solihull
Planning in Solihull goes through Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council. Like-for-like work rarely needs consent, though external shutters and lit signs normally need approval. We check which applies to your unit at survey.
Costs
Budget from £2,450 plus VAT as a starting point. Your quote depends on the opening size, the finish and how easy access is. Once issued, the price is fixed for 90 days unless the specification changes.
How long it takes
Allow 3-4 weeks after drawing sign-off from drawings to delivery. On site, most Solihull jobs take one or two days. Early starts and closed-day fitting are both possible.
The product
Aluminium is the default for high-street retail because the sections stay slim, the powder coat can match any brand colour, and the frame will not rot, swell or warp. Popular choices include toughened or laminated safety glass to BS EN 12150 / 14449; low-threshold entrance options for level access.
