The product
A fire shutter holds a compartment line for its rated period and closes automatically when the alarm panel signals. You can specify annual servicing recommended; tested and certified as a complete assembly.

Permission and Telford & Wrekin Council
The local planning authority for Newport is Telford & Wrekin Council. A straight replacement is normally permitted, whereas a new look, an outside shutter box or a lit fascia generally needs an application. We flag it at survey so it never delays the fit.
Costs
The entry price is about £3,200 plus VAT. Size, specification and strip-out decide the exact number. Once issued, the price is fixed for 90 days unless the specification changes.
Before you book
Do I need planning permission in Newport?
Like-for-like replacements usually do not. Changing the appearance of the frontage, fitting an external roller shutter or adding an illuminated sign usually needs consent from Telford & Wrekin Council. We tell you which applies at survey.

Can you work outside trading hours?
Yes, work can be arranged for a closed day or outside trading hours where the business cannot close. We agree it with you when booking.
Is the survey free?
