Planning in Smethwick goes through Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council. Swapping like for like is usually fine, whereas a new look, an outside shutter box or a lit fascia generally needs an application. You will know before you order.
Costs
Guide price: from £3,200 plus VAT for a standard opening. Size, specification and strip-out decide the exact number. Your price is held for 90 days.
How long it takes
Allow 4-6 weeks after survey from drawings to delivery. The install itself rarely takes more than two days for a standard opening. Early starts and closed-day fitting are both possible.
What gets fitted
A fire shutter holds a compartment line for its rated period and closes automatically when the alarm panel signals. You can specify drops automatically on a signal from the fire alarm panel; fail-safe release options.
