Planning in Oakham goes through Rutland County Council. Like-for-like work rarely needs consent, but anything that alters the look of the street usually needs consent. The survey confirms which rules apply.
What it costs in Oakham
The entry price is about £1,750 plus VAT. The real figure comes from the survey measurements. Quotations stay valid for 90 days.
From order to fitted
Allow 2-3 weeks after survey from drawings to delivery. The install itself rarely takes more than two days for a standard opening. Early starts and closed-day fitting are both possible.
What gets fitted
Punched laths let passers-by see the window display after closing time while the shutter still secures the opening. Popular choices include window display stays visible when closed; lets light and air through.
